A new personal project in which I try to combine the visual experience with poetry and enhance the auditory experience by adding background music that is different from what is usually common in reciting poems, strong and dramatic "metal" music that escalates with the narration of the poem, increasing the impact of the words.
As for the visual aspect, I drew 21 illustrations based on pictures that in turn were inspired by the words of the poem "Nothing Pleases Me" by Mahmoud Darwish. The drawings represent main frames and important transitional moments in the poem, mostly at an ascending pace. I used a special drawing style that I was and am still working on developing. You can read more about it HERE.
This experience has opened new horizons for me and I have learned a lot from it on different levels in the fields of drawing, poetry and even music. I am very excited to follow it up with similar ones in the near future in a deeper and richer visual and auditory way.
